The Many Faces of Shale

This is a very old original character I made back way back in the day, 2014 to be exact, back when Adventure Time was at its height. Back then he was known as Cat Prince instead of Shale and was made so that I could self indulgently pair him with the gender flipped Marceline, aka Marshall Lee. Over the years he grew to have his own identity and I couldn't be happier with the result.

I laid out nearly all the drawings in a timeline so you can see how this character evolved as my artistic skill improved. It's funny but now that I see it, every time I botched his design is when I was forcing myself to draw him more realistically.
